Latonya McGorder

PASTOR AND HOST

Latonya McGorder is a passionate speaker, a beacon of knowledge and a spiritual guide. 

Latonya is the founder and pastor of Empowering Lives Ministries, which was founded in 2014 and located in South Jersey. In 2006 she received her Master’s degree in Human Services from Lincoln University and is working towards a doctorates degree in education. She is a former adjunct professor and mentor at Camden County College in Camden, New Jersey. In 2008 Pastor Latonya founded Women of Color Creating Change, a nonprofit organization whose mission is to assist individuals with a history of incarceration (ex-offenders) in reintegrating back to their communities and with their families. Latonya has faced many adversities in life, including her only son Lance being sentenced to a 25 year prison term. Through this experience she has started an empowerment tour called, “Pain of a Mother’s Broken Heart” in which she goes around to several venues and spreads a message of love and hope for mothers and families experiencing the hurt of having a son or loved one incarcerated. In 2015 she became a foster mother and reside in South Jersey.

In 2022, Latonya started hosting her very own internet television/video blog programing. 

Her faith is strong and is a total believer of the promises of God, which can be found in His word. Her declaration is and always will be, “If God said it, I believe it, and that settles it”!
